BATTLE OF THE BANDS!
On Saturday, May 18, four local high school bands will compete for the 2013 Wildflower! Arts and Music Festival Battle of the Bands title. More information is coming soon, so stay tuned!
Band Requirements:
- Bands must be predominately made up of current high school students, but some members may have graduated
- At least half of the members must be current high school students in grades 9-12
- 3 member band = 2 of high school age
- 4 member band = 2 of high school age
- 5 member band = 3 high school age
- Etc.
- There must be at least three (3) members in every band
- Each band will be allowed to play one 20-minute set
- Each band must perform at least one (1) original song and one (1) cover song
- Winning band will be determined by:
- Crowd noise and crowd enthusiasm
- Showmanship of band members
- Musical talent as determined by our panel of judges
- Ability to follow contest rules and perform at least one (1) original song and one (1) cover song within one 20-minute set
- No foul language, or crude/offensive/vulgar behavior of any kind: on stage, in lyrics, off stage, or otherwise, including:
- Absolutely no moshing, and
- Proper attire must be worn at all times; and
- Band members are only allowed on stage during their set. Bands or band members who go on stage while another band is competing will be disqualified from the competition.
- Producer reserves the right to approve song choices to be performed at Wildflower! Arts and Music Festival.
