Wildflower! Arts & Music Festival is officially proclaimed the “Best Music Festival” in the 2019 Dallas Observer Best of Dallas® Readers’ Choice awards. The voting began in August and the wild results posted online on September 26 for fans to explore and celebrate their favorites.

“We are honored to receive this recognition. It’s the amazing support from the Richardson community and leadership that makes the success of the Wildflower! Arts & Music Festival possible. “ – Lori Smeby, Director of Richardson Parks & Recreation Department

The City of Richardson had two nominations among the 25 Arts & Entertainment categories. The other nominees included DallasFest, Deep Ellum Arts Festival, Fortress Festival, and Homegrown Music and Arts Festival. Wildflower! Arts & Music Festival appreciates being picked by the readers and recognized as a premier music festival within the metroplex!

“Why Red Pegasus? Because the old Magnolia Oil Co. logo, later Mobil’s, long shone atop Dallas’ tallest building, visible to passing airplane pilots, and became the city’s most visible symbol, an enduring sign that beneath all that’s shiny and new in Dallas lies a city with a history. Ever-changing, Dallas has always provided an exciting place to live, work and have fun. Votes help Red and the Observer uncover the best in the city, as we take readers on our annual tour of all that’s best, old and new, in Big D.” – Dallas Observer

The first Wildflower! Arts & Music Festival was held in 1993 and the 28th festival is set for May 15-17, 2020.  The three-day weekend packs more than 100 bands on six performance stages spread out within Galatyn Park and the Eisemann Center. Tickets and VIP packages go on sale February 14, 2020.
