Join the legendary Terri Hendrix and Lloyd Maines as they share tips on how to kickstart your songwriting creativity in the 2024 Wildflower! Songwriter Workshop. The workshop will consist of coming up with lyrics, melodies and song structure. Terri and Lloyd will provide handouts that will contain prompts to use to unlock writer’s block when it comes to starting and or finishing songs.
Additionally, the workshop will include a performance session; finding the right key for your voice, vocal tips for singing healthy and maintaining your voice, pre-show warm-up suggestions, stage banter, and keeping your song interesting from start to finish. Instrumental tips will be included as well; whether it’s accompanying yourself or playing along with others.
Each attendee will receive a packet with all of the above in both a printed and digital link format. Attendees are encouraged to bring a tablet or paper and a pen to take notes, as well as your instrument, capo and tuner.
