FIONA LIBBY TAKES CENTER STAGE AS WINNER OF JR WILDFLOWERS! IN BUDDING TALENT VOCAL COMPETITION

For Fiona Libby, music has always been part of life.

“I’ve loved singing ever since I was two or three years old,” she said. “Professionally, I’ve been singing for about four years.”

That lifelong passion came full circle this spring when Fiona was named the 2026 Jr. Wildflowers! division winner in the Wildflower! Budding Talent Vocal Competition.

While the victory was exciting, it was also a testament to perseverance. This marked Fiona’s third year participating in the competition and the first time she advanced to the final round.

“I honestly was pretty shocked that I won considering my competition was pretty amazing,” she said. “I’m so grateful the judges chose me as the winner.”

For her championship performance, Fiona selected a song inspired by one of her favorite musicals.

“I’ve always loved Grease as a movie,” she said. “Olivia Newton-John has such a special place in my heart.”

When she’s not performing, Fiona stays actively involved at Jasper High School, where she serves as both a choir officer and a theatre officer, balancing leadership with her love of music and the performing arts.

Her musical interests extend well beyond singing. Fiona enjoys playing guitar and also performs on piano and ukulele, giving her even more ways to express her creativity.

The stage has been a familiar place for years.

“I’ve been doing theatre ever since I was eight years old,” she said.

Looking ahead, Fiona’s dreams are as ambitious as they are inspiring.

“I’ve always had a dream of being on the big stage in New York one day.”

With years of theatre experience already behind her, leadership roles at school, and now a Wildflower! championship to add to her growing list of accomplishments, she’s well on her way toward pursuing that dream.

For young vocalists thinking about auditioning for the 2027 Wildflower! Budding Talent Vocal Competition, Fiona encourages performers to trust themselves and enjoy the experience.

“Truly just be yourself. Choose a song that you feel comfortable with that also has dynamics. And… HAVE FUN! That’s the whole point!”

Congratulations to Fiona Libby on capturing the 2026 Jr. Wildflowers! title. We can’t wait to see where her musical journey leads next, and we hope to welcome her back to the Wildflower! stage again soon.
